How to Fund Your GBP Pesa Wallet
Funding your GBP Pesa wallet is quick and easy. There are two ways to fund your wallet. You can fund it by using the provided account details or make a wallet to wallet exchange. Follow these steps to transfer money directly to your wallet:
Fund your wallet using your account details:
- Access Your Wallet Details:
- Open the Pesa app using your password or fingerprint
- On the dashboard, you’ll see your GBP wallet, click on ‘’Fund wallet’’
- Select the provided gateway. Copy your bank details which include your IBAN number.
- Initiate the Transfer:
- Use your preferred banking app or online banking platform to initiate a transfer.
- Enter the bank account details provided in the Pesa app.
- Complete the Transfer:
- Confirm the transfer details and complete the transaction.
- Ensure you use the correct account details to avoid any delays.
- Wait for Confirmation:
- Your transfer will take about 10 – 30 minutes to reflect in your GBP Pesa wallet.
- You will receive a notification once the funds are available in your wallet.
P.S: The funds must be sent from a bank account with the same legal name as your Pesa account.
Fund your wallet via exchange
You can make a wallet to wallet exchange to fund your GBP wallet. Simply follow these steps:
- Access Your Wallet Details:
- Open the Pesa app using your password or fingerprint
- On the dashboard, click on the ‘Send’ button at the bottom
- Select ‘Wallet to wallet’ option
- Initiate the Transfer:
- You’ll see the ‘from and to’ sections, select the wallet you want to transfer from then select your GBP wallet as the wallet you want to transfer to
- You’ll be shown the exact exchange rate that will be used, put in the amount you wish to exchange and click ‘continue’
- Complete the Transfer:
- Confirm the transfer details and complete the transaction by clicking on ‘Exchange money’
- Wait for Confirmation:
- Your transfer will take a few minutes to reflect in your GBP Pesa wallet.
- You will receive a notification once the funds are available in your wallet.
