At Pesa, community has always been at the heart of what we do. This Easter, we brought that commitment to life with a special corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative at Great Mission International.

Held under the theme “Pesa x Great Mission International: Supporting Our Community This Easter, the event turned the holiday into a day of care, connection, and creativity for the children and staff at the home.

As a global financial platform connecting diaspora communities across more than 40 countries, Pesa understands that money movement is about more than transactions; it’s about people, families, and the communities they call home.

Pesa — Meeting everyday needs

To help meet the home’s day-to-day needs, Pesa donated a range of essential household and welfare items to support the children and staff beyond the Easter season.

The donation included food staples such as rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, biscuits, assorted drinks, and drinking water. Toiletries and hygiene products were also provided, including washing soap, bathing soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet rolls, and sanitary towels.

Pesa — Encouraging creativity through art

One of the highlights of the day was the Pesa Logo Competition, where the children were invited to creatively interpret and draw the Pesa logo in their own style.

The competition created space for self-expression, confidence, and fun, while celebrating the creativity and talent within the home. Participants were recognised with prizes for their effort and imagination.

Pesa is more than just money

“At Pesa, we measure success not only by the transactions we power, but by the communities we serve,” a spokesperson for Pesa said.

“Spending Easter with the children and staff at Great Mission International gave us the opportunity to witness resilience, talent, and hope firsthand. We’re honoured to play a small part in their journey.”

While Pesa is known for helping users send, receive, hold, and convert money across borders, initiatives like this reflect a wider mission: building meaningful impact in the communities that sustain the global diaspora.

Because behind every transfer is a family, a story, and a home worth investing in.
